This is a great family-owned restaurant that is super clean and very homey feeling. They have an enormous menu and many of the comfort foods that people like. I had the house chicken which is a beer batter chicken with your choice of sauces. Meals come with a free desert. Would like to come back here sometime and order breakfast!

This was right by my hotel but my experiences with food places around here made me resist walking in until this morning when I just had to have breakfast. What a surprise! Ok so it's a dinner nothing special but for the region it's clean, newly renovated and the staff was super nice. Food was exactly what breakfast should be... i'm happy.. finally!

When we're around the Quad Cities, Deerfield Family Restaurant is always on our short list of places for eating out or getting desserts. Three quick things: 1. The food is good, huge menu, delivered to your table quickly, and very reasonably priced. 2. We went most recently on a Tuesday evening just before 6p and the place was packed, and with all ages of customers. Since Tuesdays are not busy nights for most restaurants, it just reaffirms for us that this place is loved in the Moline area. Locals flock to DFR. 3. The inside of the restaurant is modern, clean, filled with booths and tables to seat a variety of party sizes, and it has a tall dessert display loaded with great homemade pies. Parking is really easy in a shared lot. The restaurant servers are friendly and do their jobs well. It is a nice, low-key place to eat with your family or grab a quick and hearty meal before a long trip on I-88.

Pros: Place is big. Cons: This is a long one. I ordered a chopped sirloin steak with onions. I got a whole minced beef cutlet which had the most blandest taste. It was a big plate which this pancake sized "chopped steak" and onions just swimming in the "juices". I literally had to add tabasco and some more sauces to get some flavor. Next, I ordered a gyro as a takeout. Who puts bell peppers in a gyro? And cheese? What are you people doing to a Mediterranean dish? Don't put an American twist on everything, please. The tzatziki was bland curd which chunks of cucumber in it. Dining experience was okay but not going again.

Simply average, nothing to jump up and down about. Ordered the gyro plate (delicious), french fries (large & soggy), roast sirloin of beef with mashed potatoes and coleslaw (average), and pineapple cheesecake to go (average). Service and value was good.

This is the place where all my old relatives wanted to go when they came in town. It's your typical QC family restaurant. They have very very generous portion sizes. You will leave absolutely stuffed. Their breakfast is amazing. Giant, fluffy pancakes and an assortment of syrups.
